informative program that provides an adventurous outdoor program
and imparts the Aims of Scouting.

Troop Meetings
Troop meetings
are held every Monday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the Scout Hut, Lamb
of God Lutheran Church, 1401 Cross Timbers Rd., Flower Mound,
TX.
The Monday
following a Troop campout is slated as a PLC meeting (Patrol Leaders
Council) from
7:00 – 8:30 pm
. This meeting is utilized by the scout leaders to plan the next 30,
60, 90 day Troop meetings and events.

Activities
Troop
activities are all scout planned and organized. Troop activities are
planned twice a year and then reviewed once a month at our PLC.

Equipment
Troop 265
provides all camping equipment (tents, stoves, lanterns, etc.).
Camping equipment is assigned to Patrols and it is up to the patrol
to properly maintain the equipment. If damage occurs to the
equipment from horseplay or misuse it is the patrols responsibility
to replace the equipment.
Scouts are
responsible for their personal camping equipments (sleeping bag,
flashlight, personal hygiene, etc.).

Funding
Each Scout has
a personal Scout account where credits and debits are tracked. Troop
dues are reviewed each year and are debited directly to a Scouts
account. These dues are used to maintain equipment and buy new
equipment. Camping expenses are debited directly to the Scouts
account.
Troop 265
engages in a number of fundraising events, Scout popcorn sales, annual
Christmas gift wrapping to name a few.

Youth
Leaders
Currently,
Troop 265 has over 50 boys in 7 patrols. 46 of our Scouts have
attained the lofty goal of Eagle.
Our scouts
begin their informal leadership training as soon as they join the
troop via interaction with older trained Scouts, the Scoutmaster,
and Assistant Scoutmasters. We provide formal leadership training
starting at 2nd class with Troop and council led training.

Adult
Leaders
Troop 265 has a
growing and active adult leader group. We have over 20 registered,
trained adults in our Troop.
Parents are
always welcome to join in and participate. There is no end to the
need for volunteer help.
