Equipment

Troop 265 provides all camping equipment (tents, stoves, lanterns, etc.). Camping equipment is assigned to Patrols and it is up to the patrol to properly maintain the equipment. If damage occurs to the equipment from horseplay or misuse it is the patrols responsibility to replace the equipment.

Scouts are responsible for their personal camping equipments (sleeping bag, flashlight, personal hygiene, etc.).

Funding

Each Scout has a personal Scout account where credits and debits are tracked. Troop dues are reviewed each year and are debited directly to a Scouts account. These dues are used to maintain equipment and buy new equipment. Camping expenses are debited directly to the Scouts account.

Troop 265 engages in a number of fundraising events, Scout popcorn sales, annual Christmas gift wrapping to name a few.

Youth Leaders

Currently, Troop 265 has over 50 boys in 7 patrols. 46 of our Scouts have attained the lofty goal of Eagle.

Our scouts begin their informal leadership training as soon as they join the troop via interaction with older trained Scouts, the Scoutmaster, and Assistant Scoutmasters. We provide formal leadership training starting at 2nd class with Troop and council led training.

Adult Leaders
